Mission EmployAble offers a range of exciting opportunities for individuals seeking paid and volunteering positions. These opportunities include roles such as chefs, trainers, and various volunteering positions as part of our friendly and supportive team at Café On The Common in Chorleywood.

Trainers

We require experienced trainers for our year long Supported Internships programme, which begins early September 2024. These are exciting new full-time and part-time roles. The successful candidates will have an understanding of young people with a learning disability, together with a can-do attitude and passion to help our Interns become work-ready.

THE ROLE:

• Based in our training centre, Café On The Common, Chorleywood
• 25 days holiday p.a. (pro rata)
• Part-time, 9am-5pm, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
• Full-time, 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday
• A competitive salary for the right person
• Permanent role, reporting to our
Training Manager
• Successful candidate must be available to start work by the end of July 2024

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Clear communication skills
• Experience of working with young adults with learning disabilities is desirable
• A personal level of GCSE Maths and English qualification
• Resilience, patience, a sense of humour, flexibility, willingness to work as part of a team
• Enhanced DBS check (new application or with up to 12 months validity)
• Both roles must have experience in Maths and English either as a teacher/tutor/higher level teaching assistant
